8:36 a.m. A report of a male that had locked himself in a car with multiple butcher knives, extremely paranoid, possibly going to try and commit suicide in the 1100 block of Veach’s Ct. Male was detained and transported to the hospital for an evaluation. Male eventually transported to the Miami County Jail on an out-of-county arrest warrant.
9:35 a.m. A report of a suspicious person in the 300 block of E. Main St. Checked ok.
9:57 a.m. A civil matter concerning eviction in the 100 block of W. 5th St., Peru. Parties were advised they needed documentation from the court for the eviction process to occur.
11:40 a.m. Citizen assistance at Sherwood Court on W. Main St. Civil property issue. Assistance was given.
11:58 a.m. Disabled vehicle in the area of S. Sease Dr. / S. US Route 31, Peru. Located motorist pulled off the side of the highway. The male said he was letting his vehicle cool, that it was having issues. The male advised he did not need assistance.
12:44 p.m. Welfare check at the Peru Skate Park on W. Canal St. Report of an injured subject at the skate park. There was no one there when officers arrived and they were unable to locate any problems.
12:51 p.m. Citizen assistance at Sherwood Court on W. Main St. No additional information provided.
12:54 p.m. A caller in the 100 block of W. 5th St. located items of drug paraphernalia. The items were brought to the Peru Police Department and placed into evidence for destruction.

1:35 p.m. A report of a vehicle parked in someone’s yard that does not belong to them in the 200 block of Monroe Ave. An officer located the owner who was working with a lawn crew nearby. The male moved the vehicle upon request.

1:40 p.m. An officer took a report of criminal mischief in the 200 block of Chili Ave. A vehicle was broken into and damage done to the interior. A report was taken.
