12:29 a.m. A deputy responded to the report of a possible battery in the 2500 block of Kelly Ave., Peru. The deputy spoke with the complainant who stated that they had been assaulted in Logansport at a gas station. The subject was transported to the hospital by EMS and the information was forwarded to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department regarding the assault.

1:14 a.m. A deputy checked on a vehicle driving in an area that has been the victim of multiple vehicle break-ins in the area of S. 500 W./W. State Road 218, Peru. The driver checked ok.

1:19 a.m. Report of an alarm in the 3700 block of N. 190 W., Peru. False alarm.

1:54 a.m. A deputy assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle at McClure Oil on W. State Road 18, Kokomo.

3:41 a.m. A deputy assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 3300 block of N. Lincoln St., Peru.

4:09 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Business 31/S. US Route 31, Peru.

6:32 a.m. A deputy located a juvenile that had run away in the middle of the night in the area of W. 850 S./S. US Route 31, Bunker Hill. Assistance given.

2:45 p.m. Report of an assault at Aperion Care on N. Matador St., Peru. No further information provided.

3:01 p.m. Report of citizen assistance at Gamester’s MHP on W. Warren St., Peru. No further information provided.

3:29 p.m. Report of a welfare check in the 2900 block of W. 500 S., Peru. The subject was gone prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

5:18 p.m. Report of a 911 hang-up in the 2000 block of S. Sycamore Blvd., Peru. Checked ok.

7:56 p.m. A deputy assisted with a civil issue in the 100 block of W. 3rd St., Bunker Hill.

9:12 p.m. Report of a traffic accident with injuries in the area of W. 850 S./S. US Route 31, Bunker Hill. This call was handled by the Indiana State Police Department.

9:22 p.m. Report of a traffic accident with damage in the area of S. US Route 31/W. State Road 218, Peru. Brian Ploughe, of Kokomo, was northbound on US 31 in his 2016 Dodge approaching a stoplight at SR 218 W. Ploughe advised he was watching police officers pass by southbound on US 31 and did not witness a 2006 Jeep stopped at the light. Ploughe struck the rear end of the Jeep that was driven by Dino Halupa, of Kokomo, causing damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. A state crash report was completed.

9:28 p.m. Report of a traffic accident with damage in the 4600 block of S. 550 E., Peru. Larry Zeller was traveling north on CR 550 E from CR 500 S in a Toyota Tundra when he struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported.

11:05 p.m. A deputy provided a courtesy transport in the area of W. 200 N./N. US Route 31, Peru.
