Peru, IN – Sometimes the pressures of daily life, obligations to work, school and home, can be overwhelming. That unexpected bill or lack of money for everyday needs can also get you down. It is easy to get depressed and lose hope. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Pastor Kevin Palmer and the Congregation of Calvary Temple have scheduled Peru Hope Fest where they plan to share an uplifting, inspirational message of hope with everyone in our community.
The Peru Hope Fest will take place on August 12 through August 15 beginning at 6:00 p.m. each evening. The four-day event is completely free and open to the public. It will be held at the First Farmers Bank and Trust Amphitheater located at upper Maconaquah Park.
“Each evening there will be prizes, live music, games for the kids and a motivational message of hope,” said Pastor Palmer. “The members of our congregation will be there to meet and serve the community with a message of hope.”
The Church is planning on giving away $8,000 in prices during this week. Everything from grocery store gift cards, shoes from Shoe Carnival to a grand prize of $500.00 from Menards that will be given away the final night.
Registration for the prizes will begin each evening of the event beginning at 6:00 p.m. You must register to be eligible for the giveaways. The more nights you attend, the more chances you have to win. The Church encourages everyone to bring a lawn chair and have a great time! EVERYTHING IS FREE!
Calvary Temple hopes this event will provide the community a boost of hope with both the prizes and the positive messages. Plan now to attend!
The Church offers Sunday morning worship at 10:00 a.m. and a Wednesday evening service at 6:30 p.m. The Church is located at 2908 W. 200 N., in Peru. You can learn more about Calvary Temple by visiting their website by clicking HERE or their Facebook page by clicking HERE.
