12:35 a.m. A report of a possible impaired driver in the area of S. Broadway Ave. / Strawtown Pike. An officer was unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

12:36 a.m. A report of a suspicious person in the 200 block of N. Duke St. Officers checked the area but were not able to locate anything suspicious.

12:45 a.m. Warrant service in the area of W. Main St. / N. Miami St. David Shockey, 43 of Peru was arrested on a Miami County Warrant for Invasion of Privacy.

2:40 a.m. An officer provided a courtesy transport for a woman from Dukes Memorial Hospital.

3:52 a.m. An officer located a suspicious vehicle parked at the Roxy Theater after business hours. Everything checked ok.

7:41 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. Canal St. / S. Brownell St.

7:53 a.m. A report of an abandoned vehicle at the Roxy Theater parking lot.

8:36 a.m. Warrant service at Miami County Probation Department. Jason Alspaugh, 46 of Peru was arrested on a Miami County Warrant for Violation of Probation.

10:26 a.m. A report of trespassing at the First Assembly of God on Monroe Ave. A subject was left in the lot by his ride along with his belongings. The man was able to get a ride from someone else.

10:59 a.m. Citizen assistance in the 100 block of E. 2nd St. An officer was dispatched to E. 2nd St. for an abandoned bike parked in front of a residence. The red girl's bike had a Kroger bag hanging on the handlebar that contained one unopened can of Natural Ice Beer, a pen, compass and note tablet. The officer was informed by Lt. Richardson that the bike was the property of the man from the prior call at First Assembly of God. The officer stood by until the owner retrieved the bike. Assistance was given.

12:46 p.m. A report of an unwanted guest in the 10 block of Jean Ave. Disorderly conduct call.

1:15 p.m. 911 Hang-up in the 800 block of S. Broadway Ave. Confirmed accidental dial, checked ok.

1:56 p.m. Citizen assistance in the 1000 block of Cherry Ln. A citizen had a question about an ongoing investigation. The citizen was referred to the detective division.

1:58 p.m. A report of theft was taken in the 100 block of S. Wabash St., Peru.

2:45 p.m. A report of a suspicious person/circumstance in the 100 block of Union St. A report of a man checking out a house. Checked ok.

3:15 p.m. A report of a stolen vehicle was taken from a citizen at the Peru Police Department.

3:54 p.m. Residential alarm in the 200 block of N. Duke St. This was an accidental set off. Everything checked ok.

4:26 p.m. Property damage accident in the area of E. Washington Ave. / N. Broadway St. Alan W. Hanaway, 21 of Peru was operating a 2000 Ford Taurus turning left onto E. Washington Ave. from North Broadway St. Dennis C. Conklin, 67 of Peru was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Trail Blazer traveling north on N. Broadway through the intersection at E. Washington Ave. Conklin claims that Hanaway turned in front of him as the light was turning red, crashing into the driver’s side of the vehicle. A witness stated that Hanaway turned into the Chevrolet as the light was turning. Damage is estimated at between $1,001 and $2,500. No injuries were reported. A state crash report was completed.

4:51 p.m. A citizen reported that a groundhog was attacking his dog in the 50 block of Graham Ave.

5:18 p.m. Central Dispatch advised of an assault in the 10 block of N. Benton St. Prior to arrival, Dispatch advised of a physical fight between sisters. Kasey Nieman, 20 of Peru was arrested on charges of Domestic Battery, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

5:36 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen at the Peru Police Department with a child custody issue.

5:46 p.m. An officer stopped to check on a suspicious subject in the area of N. Clay St. / E. Washington Ave. Everything checked ok.

6:22 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 200 block of W. 5th St.

7:15 p.m. Parking problem in the area of S. Brownell St. / W. 3rd St. Written warning issued.

7:16 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. 3rd St. / S. Broadway St. Written warning issued.

7:34 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Wabash St. / E. 3rd St. Verbal warning issued.

7:50 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Miami St. / W. Canal St. Summons issued.

8:00 p.m. Parking problem in the area of N. Cass St. / W. 6th St. Warning issued.

8:04 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Walnut St. / W. Main St. Citation issued.

9:34 p.m. Citizen assistance in the 300 block of Harrison Ave. A citizen wanted to speak with an officer in reference to some photos.

10:12 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Water St. / Columbia Ave. Warning issued.

10:18 p.m. A report of a male subject possibly trying to climb onto Webster’s Insurance. No additional information was provided on this call.

10:22 p.m. A report of suspicious persons at Mr. Weenie on N. Broadway St. This was the cleaning crew, everything checked ok.

10:34 p.m. Traffic stop in the 600 block of N. Broadway St. Verbal warning issued.

10:54 p.m. Traffic stop in the 100 block of Daniel St. Warning issued.

10:55 p.m. K9 deployment in the 100 block of Daniel St. Free air sniff.

10:57 p.m. A report of a male jumping out in front of vehicles and yelling in the area of Parkway Ter. / S. Broadway Ave. Assistance was given.

11:16 p.m. A report of an individual that was jumping out in front of cars and yelling in the area of S. Broadway Ave. / Strawtown Pike. Assistance was given.

11:20 p.m. A report of an attempted break-in in the 30 block of Jean Ave. Assistance was given.

11:43 p.m. Warrant service at Casey’s General Store on W. Main St. Dajan Lewis, 20 of Peru was arrested on a Miami County Warrant for Failure to Appear.

11:54 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Broadway St. / W. 2nd St. Written warning issued.
