12:12 a.m. A report of a bat in a residence in the 80 block of Logan St. An officer was unable to locate the bat.

2:15 a.m. Traffic stop at the Woodland Hills Mobile Home Park on S. 300 W. Kaitlynn Laster, 26 of Peru was arrested on charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine and Trafficking.

2:23 a.m. K9 deployment at the Woodland Hills Mobile Home Park on S. 300 W. Free air sniff.

3:47 a.m. 911 Hang-up in the 600 block of Apache Dr. Checked ok.

5:07 a.m. An officer conducted a welfare check in the 300 block of Boulevard. Assistance was given.

5:09 a.m. Agency assistance in the 2500 block of S. Strawtown Pike. An officer assisted MCSD with a suspicious person call.

5:40 a.m. An officer responded to a civil matter in the 100 block of E. 2nd St.

6:54 a.m. An officer responded to a civil matter in the 70 block of E. 5th St.

11:36 a.m. 911 Hang-up at the Doller General Store on W. Main St. This was an accidental dial, everything checked ok.

Dennis Benson, 31 of Peru was arrested on charges of Criminal Trespass, Resisting Law Enforcement, Battery on Law Enforcement and a Probation Hold.

12:29 p.m. 911 Hang-up in the 500 block of E. Main St., Peru. This was an accidental dial, everything checked ok.

2:35 p.m. A report of a suspicious person/circumstance in the 300 block of W. 7th St. An officer located two vehicles going door to door and conducted a traffic stop on one of the vehicles. The driver advised they were giving free estimates on houses. The woman was advised she needed to go to the City and obtain a permit to solicit door to door. According to the Officer, the female subject was not happy about the permit. She was advised this permit allows the citizen of Peru to feel safe knowing they have been checked out by the City prior to going door to door. Nothing further at this time.

2:46 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 800 block of N. Broadway St.

4:15 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Lincoln St. / E. Main St. Summons issued.

5:11 p.m. Agency assistance at Dukes Memorial Hospital on W. 12th St. A rape was reported by a female at the hospital. Due to the area where this incident occurred, this call was given to the Indiana State Police.

5:32 p.m. An employee of Davaco, Inc. reported a theft of building and renovation materials at the McDonald’s on W. Main St. A report was taken.

7:34 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Godfroy St. / 6th Street alley. Verbal warning issued.

7:54 p.m. Traffic stop in the 2500 block of S. Business 31. Justin Hicks of Peru was issued a summons for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia and was released from the scene.

7:58 p.m. K9 deployment in the 2500 block of S. Business 31. Free air sniff.

8:07 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Abraham Ln. / S. Broadway Ave. A male passenger, Michael Shoffner, 32 of Peru was arrested on a Miami County Warrant for Failure to Appear.

8:23 p.m. A report of a theft was taken in the 500 block of E. 5th St.

8:53 p.m. 911 Hang-up in the 600 block of Harrison Ave. This was an accidental dial, everything checked ok.

8:58 p.m. A report of a theft was taken in the 100 block of W. 10th St. A landlord reported that an air conditioning unit was missing from a rental property prior to a court-ordered eviction. The landlord advised this was a civil issue and he would need to go to court. Assistance was given.

9:17 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Broadway St. / Daniel St. Verbal warning issued.

9:38 p.m. A report of a suspicious person/circumstance at Maconaquah Park. Checked ok.

9:47 p.m. A report of controlled substance problem in the area of E. State Road 218 / S. Strawtown Pike, Bunker Hill. No additional information was provided on this call.
