11:33 a.m. Property damage accident in the 2900 block of W. 100 N., Peru. Tiecissies Clark, of Gary, was driving his 2004 Ford Ranger southbound on US 31 approaching the intersection of 100 N. Mr. Clark saw a 2016 Ford F250 with a camper driven by Raymond Merriam, of Cedar, MI, stopped at the traffic light at that intersection. Clark was unable to stop due to the wet road conditions and crashed into the rear of the camper. No injuries were reported.

11:59 a.m. An officer responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the lot at Hardees in the 300 block of N. Broadway St. Everything checked OK and the vehicle left.

12:36 a.m. Officer responded to the report of a juvenile walking in the roadway at the Bourne End Court MHP in the 700 block of Rushburn Green. The subject’s mother was contacted, and the juvenile was returned.

2:24 a.m. Officers took the report of individuals leaving a restaurant and not paying for services at the Tracks End Restaurant in the 60 block of Roxy Ln.

Main St. when they heard a loud noise coming from the area of Tippecanoe St. The officer discovered the source of the noise was a juvenile lighting off fireworks. The officer spoke with the juvenile’s mother and advised her of the local fireworks ordinance. Assistance given.

Upon the arrival of law enforcement one female was still outside on the porch and the other was upstairs. An officer spoke with both parties separately and they both advised that it was just a verbal argument and that there was no further assistance needed.

Broadway Ave. Central dispatch advised the officer that the vehicles had stopped in the roadway and the drivers had exchanged words with one another. The officer spoke with both drivers and advised them to separate for the evening to cool off. Assistance given.

8:18 p.m. Officers responded to the report of a male subject inside a home in the 300 block of VanBuren St. The officers arrived at the residence and discovered that it was empty. Another officer located the subject riding a bike in the area. The subject was given a no trespass warning.

8:33 p.m. An officer responded to the report of criminal mischief in the 300 block of E. 5th St. No further information provided.

8:54 p.m. An officer responded to the report of a suspicious subject walking in the area of N. Tippecanoe. The officer located the subject who advised that they were looking for a WIFI signal. Everything checked OK and the subject left the area. Assistance given.
