12:19 p.m. An officer took a report of threats via social media at the Peru Police Department. Assistance given.

12:26 p.m. An officer responded to the report of an unconscious male inside a vehicle in the parking lot at Snavely Machine in the 1000 block of Industrial Pkwy. Assistance given.

3:12 p.m. An officer received a tip regarding a wanted subject in the 400 block of Madison Ave. The officer made contact with the female and Central Dispatch confirmed the subject’s active arrest warrant. Amanda Hentgen, 30, of Peru, was arrested on charges of Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia and two Miami County Arrest Warrants.

4:21 p.m. An officer assisted an individual at the Peru Police Department with a civil issue involving phones.

7:20 p.m. An officer responded to the report of a fire under the bridge in the 900 block of W. Main St. The officer located the fire and three juveniles. Everything checked ok.

7:53 p.m. An officer responded to the report of a possible drunk driver in the 200 block of Van Buren Ave. Unable to locate.

7:59 p.m. An officer responded to the report of a car vs deer accident in the area of W. US Route 24/N. US Route 31. State crash report completed.

8:08 p.m. An officer responded to the report of a juvenile issue in the area of N. Grant St./W. 8th St. Juveniles were located sitting on the train tracks. The officer advised them of the law regarding trespassing on railroad property and sent them on their way. The juveniles advised that they would no longer sit on the tracks.

8:25 p.m. An officer responded to the report of an unwanted guest in the 200 block of Apache Dr. Central Dispatch advised that the subject had an active arrest warrant out of Miami County. Roger Edmondson, 30, of Peru, was taken into custody for a Miami County Warrant for Failure to Appear.

8:56 p.m. Traffic stop in the 100 block of N. Broadway St. Citation issued.

9:05 p.m. An officer responded to the report of a suspicious male in the 500 block of Longview Dr. Unable to locate. Later it was found that the male subject had the wrong address. Everything checked ok.

9:24 p.m. An officer assisted in finding a subject who had a warrant from Community Corrections in the 10 block of Jean Ave. Bruce Espenscheid, 43, of Peru, was taken into custody and transported to the Miami County Jail.

9:25 p.m. An officer responded to the report of an active alarm in the 600 block of Rushburn Green Dr. No further information provided.

10:13 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. 5th St./N. Miami St. Verbal warning issued.

10:28 p.m. An officer located a subject walking in the roadway in the 10 block of E. 8th St. The officer instructed the individual to walk on the sidewalk.
