5:18 a.m. Report of an alarm in the 700 block of E. Main St. No further information provided.

5:23 a.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 900 block of Cherry Lane.

7:52 a.m. Report of an animal problem in the area of S. Cass St. / W. 3rd St. Central dispatch advised of a stray dog running loose and acting in an aggressive manner. Animal Control arrived on the scene and was familiar with the animal. Animal Control handled the call. Assistance given.

9:07 a.m. Report of agency assistance at the Probation Department in the 20 block of Court St. Central dispatch advised of a wanted subject at the Probation Department. The officer arrived on scene and took Tony Quinn, 29, of Peru, into custody on a Miami County Warrant for Violation of Probation.

9:29 a.m. Report of a welfare check in the 400 block of W. 5th St. Assistance given.

10:43 a.m. A funeral escort was provided for the Flowers Leedy Funeral Chapel.

11:06 a.m. Report of a parking problem at Dukes Memorial Hospital. The complainant reported that a vehicle was parked in a handicapped parking space without proper documentation. The officer observed that the vehicle had a handicapped placard hanging from the rear-view mirror. No further action was necessary.

12:08 p.m. Report of citizen assistance at the Peru Police Department. A subject had questions regarding a paper from the BMV. The officer was unable to locate the caller.

3:57 p.m. Report of a disabled vehicle in the area of W. 100 N. / N. US Route 31. The driver advised that they had a tow truck en route. The officer assisted with pushing the vehicle out of the roadway.

4:14 p.m. An officer took a report of careless driving at the Peru Police Department. The complainant advised that vehicles are running bus stop arms near the area of Hood St. and W. Main St.
