Denver, IN - Last Saturday, February 16th, was the FIRST Tech Challenge at North Miami High School, Arrowhead Tournament. A spectacular gathering of high school students and adults, coming together and creating something fantastic. This program was put into place for grades 7-12 to compete in robotics challenges that encourage teamwork and encourages STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) involvement using a multitude of disciplines of which I have never seen such a large conglomerate come together for one event. FIRST focuses on excellence through the First Mantra: Gracious Professionalism, and the organization of the event from start to finish supports that mission.

Winamac, IN - On August 30, 2018, the North Miami Boys Soccer squad traveled to a non-conference game at Winamac. The first half was a very intense game. both teams tried to score a goal but neither team was able to do it. During the second half, North Miami came on very strong and took control of the game.
Gavin Dyson scored our first goal of the evening with a beautiful heading. Jon Stoner took a corner kick and Dyson was in the right spot to put the ball in the end of the net with his head. Then later on one of our speedy players, Trevor Blakely got a pass from Carson Rexroad, dribble some of the defenders, confronted the goalkeeper, went around him, and put the ball in the left side of the opponent’s net.
